So sorry for delaying this post for so long, finally I'm updating on Brian's 1st Fan Meet in Malaysia which happened on the 10th of July! The fan meeting was held at The Opera, Sunway Pyramid. Organized by Rhythm Land, they did a great job!

I will just be posting photos, and minimal descriptions. Do enjoy! :)

I'm sure all of you have been waiting eagerly to view this post, because the Hot & Cold Katy Perry came to Malaysia for the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010, to share with you her Teenage Dream & let you see her Peacock, at the same time she was Thinking Of You!

During the press conference, Katy Perry admitted that she hates wearing heels while performing, but she had a surprise for everyone later that night, she wore her favorite candy heels just for us, the stage was colourful & had a huge banana couch in the middle of the stage!

Katy Perry is very humorous actually, she loved to joke around with people who asked her questions at the press conference.

She looked into my camera twice! Katy Perry has really, really huge & gorgeous eyes!

Her voice is really sweet too, she sang Thinking Of You later that night accompanied by her acoustic guitar.

Tokio Hotel at MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010 press conference

Having Malaysian fans see them for the second time in the same year, German band Tokio Hotel was set to rock MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010!

Tokio Hotel introduced themselves for abit & explained that everyone in the band get to be their own self without following a specific fashion/trend.

My Water Moments with Sony TX5 @ Mali Cove, Sunway Lagoon

On the 7th of August, I was invited by Advertlets to join the 'My Water Moments with Sony TX5' event @ Mali Cove, Sunway Lagoon. About 20-30+ Advertlets bloggers were there but only 10 managed to enter the competition. We split into groups of 5 each, and ended up being Team E3 & E4, I was in Team E4!

Winners got to walk away with a Sony TX5, Sony Bloggie, Sony Walkman or even Sony cash vouchers! Mind you, the prizes were given to EACH of the member in the winning team, so 1 team would get 5 units of the prizes.

Not only bloggers got to join the competition but Sony users managed to have fun as well!

I wont go into details on what we were supposed to do during the competition, but it had to do with the highlights of the Sony TX5.

Team E4 at the Shockproof station, testing the toughness of the camera by throwing the cameras into the huge barrel.

What makes Sony TX5 such a hot camera in the market? Firstly, it's Waterproof, Shockproof, Dustproof & Freezeproof! Also, being such a tough camera it still maintains the classy look & glossy finish on the camera itself. It records videos at 720p HD, has the cool functions like Hand Held Twilight, Sweep Panorama and it's a full touchscreen camera!

In between the competition, we managed to do a jump shot.

After having our go at all the 4 stations, Team E4 managed to get into the Top 5 Finals, where we would have to fix a puzzle block in the shortest time to gain victory.

And at the end of the day, Team E4 grabbed the 1st runner up title. We won the Sony Bloggie, but that's another story because this post focuses on the Sony TX5 instead!

Team A1 was the champion of the day, featuring Justin & other friends! They won a Sony TX5 each! Whereas 2nd runner up winners got a Sony Walkman each. 4th & 5th place winners got themselves some Sony cash vouchers.

The event ended at 3pm and visitors had the chance to win some merchandises by playing the puzzle block game!

'My Water Moments with Sony TX5' event was also featured in Sin Chew newspapers yesterday! (14th August 2010)

Overall, the Sony TX5 is a good buy if you're planning to go on diving trips/beach parties/anywhere in style, without worrying about your camera hitting the ground/getting into the water/~~entering the ice pool for no reason~~...

B2ST Album Showcase in Malaysia : Final

Wonder Girls at MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010 press conference

Wonder Girls made Asia proud as they were the very first Asian group to perform for MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010. They made a glamorous entrance during the press conference & also onto the stage later on that evening.

All 5 of them - Yenny, SunYe, HaeRim, YuBin & SoHee are stunningly prettier in real life!

They performed tracks both in Korean & English, each song was sang half in English and half in Korean. Hits like 'So Hot', 'Tell Me', '2 Different Tears' and not forgetting their famous hit that took the world by storm - 'Nobody'!

Photos of their performance (Courtesy of MTV) will be up shortly. For now it's only pictures, pictures and more pictures of the Wonder Girls during the press conference!

Just got back from MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010 featuring Bunkface, Tokio Hotel, Wonder Girls & Katy Perry.

Great line up of artistes! But lousy delays happened without a valid reason. The heavy rain before World Stage started also contributed to the downside.

Anyhow, here's Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel at the press conference earlier this afternoon.

Authentic Thai Food @ Funky Villa

A month ago I was invited for the grand launch of Funky Villa at e@Curve, and last Friday I was invited again by Ewin to attend a food review/chill out session at the same place.

This time, we were served with many authentic Thai dishes. The lady boss was also present there to describe the names & types of dishes that were being served to us that night.

First off, we were served with their in house Lemon Grass Drink. For many, there will be an unusual taste at first, but you will adapt to it after awhile. Very refreshing & cooling, perfect for our country's hot weather. The decoration was a plus too.

As a side starter, we had Peanuts With Spicy Dried Anchovies. Something to tingle your appetite before the main course. Nothing to comment about.

Clear Tom Yum, didnt really taste this. But according to others, this soup had a spicy taste with a sour twist, something nice to start the meal.
Tom Yum soup is also known for curing colds because of the herbs used inside.

Fish Fillet in Tamarind Sauce, we kinda spoilt this dish because it was supposed to be eaten fresh out from the kitchen (and while the fish is still crispy), but then we were too bothered with taking photos, hence the fish turned a little soggy after some time. But still, the fish texture would be great if you eat it immediately when it reaches the table.
The Tamarind sauce was tangy, slightly sweet & sour, went well with the fish.

Red Curry, one of my favourite over at Funky Villa. The curry scent & taste is just mouth watering! With lots of potatoes & meat inside, they definitely are not stingy with their portions.

Tong Long, the name of this dish is actually a place in Thailand. This dish has Fish Cakes, Spring Rolls, Thai Salad, Seafood & Beef Skewers served with 3 different sauces. The meat skewers were a tad bland, but tasted exceptionally good after dipping in the sauces provided. Tried all except for the Thai Salad, it did not disappoint me. This is a great platter for people to go with during drinking sessions, can be shared between 3-4 pax.

Thai Mango Salad with Tofu, served with a generous amount of peanuts and mango slices. The sour & mild spicy taste can really open one's appetite before the main course. Paired together with the Tofu, the outside skin is slightly crispy while the inside remains soft & smooth.

Thai Style Seafood Otak-Otak, a unique way of being presented on the table. Fresh Mackerel is used as the fish in the Otak-Otak dish, marinated in coconut milk, ground chilli, lemon grass, onions, blue ginger & turmeric, the dish is then steamed and served in a coconut, while maintaining all the flavor inside. Unlike other Otak-Otak you find anywhere, the Otak-Otak here isnt dry at all. Goes really well with white rice.

There were a couple of other dishes, but I'm not posting it because I didnt taste the dish. But Funky Villa also serves authentic Thai dessert, very worth trying!

B2ST 'Shock Of The New Era' Album Showcase in Malaysia

Korean Pop boy group B2ST/BEAST which consists of 6 members under Cube Entertainment had a showcase in Malaysia yesterday night for their 'Shock Of The New Era' repackaged album tour, they were in Singapore the day before yesterday.

Event was held in KL Live, organized by Universal Music Malaysia. Quite a few glitches happened and now it's leaving the fans complaining every single minute. Just look at the amount of fans crowding the queue hours before the gates opened.

They performed some of their famous songs like Shock, Bad Girl, Mystery, Special, Oasis and more...

Only 16 people were allowed to join the match. At least I got to Top 8 lah.

Sony Fan Fiesta 2010

This was the setup for the Sony Fan Fiesta along Central Park Avenue, Bandar Utama on Sunday night. The event lasted till about 5am.

Chairs were arranged nicely for audiences to view the final FIFA World Cup 2010 match on the huge HD screen.

One of the MC that night, he was giving away freebies on stage to everyone.

3 Akademi Fantasia contestants were there to perform & sing a few songs on stage. They sang Lady Gaga's songs with an accent lol.

Just got back from Brian Joo's 1st fan meet in Malaysia.

FYI, Brian was born in California, raised in New Jersey with a strict Korean upbringing. Member of the bubble gum pop duo 'Fly To The Sky' under SM Entertainment, Brian is also having a solo career now under On Point Entertainment.

His fan meeting/showcase was organized by Rhythm Land over at The Opera, Sunway Pyramid earlier this afternoon. He sang a few of his famous hits from his albums titled 'Manifold' as well as the Korean & English version of 'In My Head' by Jason Derulo.

Brian is a really nice guy, loves posing for the camera and also enjoys making jokes with everyone. I even had my photo taken together with him & Azrin just now.

Super GT Championship 2010

2 weeks ago, Jason, Azrin, Josh & I attended the Super GT 2010 @ Sepang International Circuit. My very first experience turned out to be an awesome one! It was a very sunny & hot morning with clear skies that day, perfect for snapping photos of the ~~women~~ cars.

We arrived there and the mall area had a few booths promoting their products like Toyota, Denso, Auto Update and a couple other brands.

To start off, a picture of the local girls walking around selling Super GT tees. You could even get them to kiss them shirt after buying it ;)

The Ferrari owners club were there to display their sexy rides also.

Walked around, took some pictures, then it was time to hit the grandstand. People with the pit pass could go onto the grid to take photos while the teams were busy preparing their race cars.

After a short while, everyone was asked to leave the grid so the race could start. And the drivers got ready to start their engines *Vrooom~*

When the lights turned green, the race started!

After panning for awhile, all of us got bored so we headed back to the mall area for a stroll. And the GT racequeens were on the stage getting ready to give out freebies!

At the end of the day, Team Calsonic Impul won the Super GT Championship with their Nissan GTR!

U-KISS Private Fan Meeting in Malaysia : Part 2

Once again, I'll just like to state all the obvious. Event was organized by Geneses Dream Entertainment and was held on the 19th of June 2010 at KLCC's Plenary Hall.

This post is filled with pictures over words of their performance before the fansigning event.

They performed Bingeul Bingeul (Round & Round), Talk To Me, Man Man Ha Ni, Mworago and a few other tracks from their album. They also sang an english ballad titled 'End Of The Road' which is by Boyz II Men.

Alexander from U-KISS wanted to hear louder cheers from the crowd after the ballad.

LG GD510 a.k.a Pop review

LG GD510, also known as the Pop. An innovative and compact touchscreen bar.

Featuring mainly a 3" touchscreen, an easy 3 way interface, a 3MP camera & also a multimedia player, the Pop doesnt stop here.

The Pop also boasts of having eco friendly features & many other cool features stuffed into this small box.

It is made up of hazardous free material, which includes PVC. Offers a beeping alert when charging is finished to prevent wastage of electricity and it's packaging is made up from recycled paper with soy ink printing.

The Pop comes in 2 colours - Silver & Black. Each phone's colour has 1 normal back cover & also has 2 different fun & colourful back covers given together in the box.

I really liked the design & feel of the Pop. Measuring at 97.8(h) x 49.5(w) x 11.2(d) mm and weighs just 87g, this compact bar gives users like me a nice grip of the phone in my palm. Despite the small size, the Pop has a 3" full touchscreen and a smart all-in-one button that acts as a Call/End/Clear/Home button. It also supports up to 8GB MicroSD memory card.

Although the back cover is plastic, it looks alike an authentic brushed chrome back cover, giving owners a slightly more luxurious feel.

A 4.8mm thin bezel around the screen with a matte silver casing alongside a couple of chrome buttons around the phone here and there.

The power button on the top works not only to turn the phone ON/OFF, it also acts as a lock key with a short press on the button. The camera button also brings up your favourite applications page on-screen upon pressing it once shortly. The volume keys on the other side also work as zoom keys when the camera is in use.

1 thing I like about this Pop is the way people SMS with it.

The QWERTY on-screen keyboard when the phone is in horizontal mode. The size was perfect for my thumbs to SMS. But I'm sorry to say this, those with big thumbs should avoid using the QWERTY keyboard. You might accidentally press a wrong key and end up backspacing more than typing the message.

Unlike other expensive touchscreen phones that try to offer the best in their phone, this reasonably priced Pop comes with all the base essentials like a music player, video player, camera, FM radio as well as E-Mail support. It doesnt come with 3G/WiFi, instead it uses GPRS/EDGE to get online. Surprisingly it doesnt lag much, so users should expect very mild delays on their phone.

The Pop runs on LG's very own A-Class interface, a more lightweight version compared to LG's S-Class interface like what you see on the more pricey Arena/Crystal/Chocolate BL40 etc. Users will get a more luxurious & classy feel with a small price tag.

The Pop also has a ratherly simple music player interface. Put aside all the unwanted/not necessary icons and menu's, users can also play music directly on their homepage without needing to enter the music player.

The music player worked well, though it got sluggish when I loaded more songs in it. Also the sound quality deteriorates much after volume 15 (Note that volume 15 is already loud enough) Max volume is 25.

Another thing which I liked about the Pop is this application - The Weather Forecast app.

It tells you the weather and temperature forecast around your area, and users may also check the forecast for the next 3 days. This app requires the internet to work, though. So try using it when you get a good reception signal.

The camera isnt something worth shouting about. The 3megapixel camera snaps at 2048 x 1537 resolution without pixilation. Didnt try taking a video with this baby though. Below are sample shots taken by the Pop & edited using the editing tool on the phone itself.

The MicroUSB port located on the bottom left side of the phone is used for the handsfree kit, charging the phone and also data transfer from/to the PC.

A compact charger is also provided. It uses the MicroUSB cable provided to plug into the phone for charging, saves up space. A single charge lasts about 2 days upon normal usage, with regular calls & SMS coming in/going out.
