One of the hottest Malaysian video on Youtube recently - Official Video: Malaysia Airlines Missing You Flashmob at KLIA with over 700,000 views under a week, became the latest news among citizens around the world be it youngsters or seniors.

Finally had a chance to watch the flashmob video a few days back when several friends shared it on my Facebook news feed. Being a regular Youtube user, I read the comments while waiting for the video to load. Netizens from everywhere had posted comments like "The Best Airport in the World ! i'm proud to be a Malaysian!", "awesome!!", "awesome...i've been there n hope 2 be there again." and many others.

After loading the 6 minutes 21 seconds long video, I started watching it & had the exact same verdict as the top comment stating "proud to be a Malaysian!".

The video was shot at the KLIA arrival hall incorporated 8 songs in various languages with flashmob dancers donned in many different outfits & moods, instantly giving a 'muhibbah' & homecoming feeling.

Throughout the video, I enjoyed the different fusion of songs used & how it was presented. With over 100 dancers of different races, I felt that it symbolized unity in the country.

I hope this will be a regular practice by Malaysia Airlines every year with more innovative plans for the years to come, visitors from around the world will definitely have an unforgettable eye opener!

I was out shopping for CNY clothing at The Curve a few days back and wanted to stop by Kenny Rogers Roasters for lunch, but I realized something that I was out of cash after shopping.

Bang Yong Guk & ZELO recently visited Malaysia for a fanmeeting & showcase at Sungai Wang Plaza.

We had the chance to meet the boys a day earlier during the press conference/meet the media event at Sunway Giza. Bang Yong Guk & ZELO even handed each and every member of the media an autographed copy of their 'Never Give Up' album by themselves during lunch at Full House.

Q: Since BAP & EXO will be debuting about the same time this year, will we be looking forward to a competitive 2012?
BYG: We dont want to be competitive but we hope to improve ourselves together with EXO.

Q: (Directed to BYG) Since you have collaborated with artistes like B2ST's Yoseob, what do you think of it?
BYG: I am honored to collaborate with them & I have learnt alot from them at the same time.

Q: What makes B&Z special & stand out from other boy groups who focuses mainly on their dance choreography?
ZELO: We are rappers and he (BYG) is able to write & compose songs, we focus on our work alot.

Q: How did you get scouted into the industry?
BYG: I used to be a rapper in the underground scene, and one day I was spotted by TS Entertainment and they signed me in as a trainee.

Q: Who are your music idols/references?
BYG & ZELO: We like music from gangster rappers, 50 Cent, Diddy, Pharrell & such.

Petronas CNY TVC & Photography Contest

Petronas had launched their 2012 CNY TVC 2 days ago during the private media preview event @ Galeri Petronas.

Titled “Coming Home”, the TVC this year – which was shot in Malaysia, England, Belgium, China and India. The TVC depicts six separate yet intertwining stories of individuals from around the world who, despite how far they have come in life, stay true to their root & tradition.

“The TVC is meant to celebrate not just the Year of the Dragon, but the spirit of perseverance, adaptability and determination as captured in each of the stories it depicts. This energy is something that should inspire us all as we navigate through the challenges we face in life,” said PETRONAS’ Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Division Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah.

The event continued with a 'Lou Sang' session with members of the press/media.

And followed by a lion dance performance in front of the Twin Towers. The performance caught attention of many pedestrians around the area.

Hennessy NYX Launch @ Vertigo, The Gardens

Started my first party of the year with the Hennessy NYX Launch @ Vertigo, The Gardens last Thursday. Hennessy had launched it's new collector's bottle that glows in the dark, and what better way to launch it IN the dark & watch it glow?

We were given white gloves as our passes to enter the party venue. It was compulsory to wear it so everyone's hands were glowing with the UV light shining throughout.

The party venue was a little too small to hold the overflowing crowd but everyone didn't mind as the free flow of Hennessy got the better of them. Not forgetting the good music to go with it! DJ Blink heated the venue for a good 2 & a half hours!

The drinks stopped shortly below 11PM, but everyone still had good company & good music to compensate to the thirst!

Bang Yong Guk & ZELO to visit Malaysian fans in January

M.E Malaysia in joint collaboration with Latina Marketing are set to bring TS Entertainment’s latest power rookies to our shores this coming January. The sub-unit of the upcoming TS Entertainment male group, Bang Yong Guk & ZELO, made their debut with their single "Never Give Up" and has charmed their way into the hearts of fans everywhere.

Comprised of rapper, composer and lyricist Bang Yong Guk and recently introduced rookie Zelo, Bang Yong Guk & ZELO looks to bring some heavy hip-hop flavor to the Korean music scene. Clara C APAC Tour 2011 - Kuala Lumpur

LA based singer/songwriter, Clara C performed live in Kuala Lumpur last November as part of her Asia Pacific tour 2011!

About Clara C:

"With over 9 million views online and 120,000 subscribers, Clara C is known as a jack and master of all musical trades as she captivates her audience with a synergy of folk/pop/rock music accompanied by her guitar and other quirky instruments like the melodica and glockenspiel!"

Independent artiste - Charles J Tan was on tour together with Clara and opened for her during the show in Kuala Lumpur a fortnight ago.

Many aesthetic fans began queuing up to enter the Bentley Auditorium in Mutiara Damansara hours before the show began.

Shortly after 8PM, Charles began the show with a slow introduction and fans clapped along to the melody. After he was finished with his first track, energetic fans applauded and Charles exclaimed that it was the first time he got that many cheers even for the first song.

He proceeded with a few cover songs. He started with 'Personal Anthem', then interacted with fans for a short moment. Fans from Malaysia, Singapore & Australia each cheered when their country was called out by Charles.

The show was continued with a slow cover - 'Almost Sunday'. Charles claimed his heart was pounding fast as the first cover was a quick paced track. Nevertheless, his melodic voice got the audiences serenaded.

Afterwards, He changed to his ukulele and blended in a different style to the song 'Yellow' by Coldplay. His harmonic vocals paired with the tunes churned out by the ukulele got the crowd swaying.

The crowd gave Charles a long applause and welcomed Clara onto the stage.

Clara came on stage immediately and said excitedly "Happy freaking Malaysia, how are ya'll doing?" She got the crowd to stand up and kicked off with her new song - 'Quesadilla'. Her song incorporated many funky tunes and powerful vocals.

She promised everyone that she'll be back in Malaysia with her band if they behaved. Her following track was 'The Camel Song', fans who were familiar with the song sang along with Clara.

Clara invited the special prize winners onto the stage and a lucky fan got to play her guitar, he also got a warm hug from Clara before going off the stage which triggered much envy among other fans.

She sang the cover of Far East Movement's 'Rocketeer' with her own unique style, playing by-ear only. Check her cover out:

She finally got all the fans to take their sit again and shared a short story of herself. The show proceeded with a new track by Clara which was about another side of herself.

Clara learnt how to say "I'm hungry" in Malay and continued performing her single - 'Heartstrings'. She definitely caught many fans' heartstrings with that song. A fan who was waving his phone frantically which had a large banner text on the screen saying "You're awesome!" caught Clara's attention.

She performed Offbeat and the fans sang along while clapping their hands in a uniformed motion.

Clara invited Charles back onto the stage again and performed a duet together - Little Light. The song was an original track composed by Clara herself & Sam Ock.

Clara ended her show with 'Fish', fans gave her a warm & lengthy applause while yelling for an encore at the same time.

The meet & greet session was held after that, every fan who purchased Clara & Charles' merchandise were entitled for the autograph/photograph session.

Being an avid fanboy, I managed to get an autograph & photograph with both Clara & Charles too. Thank you Monsoon Productions for making this possible!

One of the biggest Korean Pop concert in 2011 was held last Saturday (3rd of December) at Stadium MBPJ, Kelana Jaya.

Acts like Miss A, B1A4, f(x) & Super Junior rocked the 'T' shaped stage. Fans were in for a treat as the artistes sang over 20 songs. The concert began shortly after 7:30PM and ended by 9:30PM. Unfortunately, Krystal of f(x) was not able to come to Malaysia as she had other priorities.

UCSI Contemporary Music Festival 2011

Malaysian jazz aficionados are in for a treat this month when UCSI University launches its Inaugural Contemporary Music Festival. Taking place on the 26th & 27th of November, the two-day festival will be taking place at the South Wing of the University’s Kuala Lumpur campus. As the event wraps up the UCSI Group’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the festival is free for the public. In addition, some of the performing artistes will be hosting workshops and aficionados may benefit from sessions with the masters.

After many months of planning, paired with an impressive lineup of international & Malaysian artistes together. Top of the bill is two-time Grammy Award winning Cuban jazz pianist and composer Gonzalo Rubalcaba who will be flying in from Florida. Having performed before in Japan, this will be Rubalcaba’s first ever gig in Malaysia and the South East Asian region. Rubalcaba’s achievements include 14 Grammy nominations, the Palm d’Or from Paris and, in 2008, the Vanguard Award from the ASCAP Foundation for ‘charting new directions in Jazz’. He has made many recordings, four of which were awarded Jazz Album of the Year in 1995, 1999 and 2002. Rubalcaba will be performing together with his trio on Sunday evening and will also conduct one of the many workshops on Sunday afternoon.

The international lineup continues with performances by Greg Lyons and his London Connection band. Hailing from the North of England, Lyons is well known to audiences in Malaysia and Singapore for his melodic and groove-driven compositions that mix an eclectic range of influences. Greg and members of his band will be playing on Saturday night, after hosting a workshop in the afternoon.

The Malaysian contingent includes the cream of local jazz performers: The Roger Wang Trio, Lewis Pragasam and ASIABEAT and the WVC TRiO+1. Roger Wang is an award-winning composer and is known widely as an acoustic finger-style guitarist. He will be performing on Saturday evening and will be lecturing a masterclass earlier that afternoon. ASIABEAT is the brainchild of Lewis Pragasam and is an on-going, ever evolving project to explore and experiment with the synthesis of ethnic Asian and contemporary music. ASIABEAT can be enjoyed during the concert on Sunday evening. The WVC TRiO+1 was formed by well-known Malaysian jazz pianist Tay Cher Siang. Cher Siang and his band have performed in Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Thailand. Their third album ‘In the Dark I see Her’ was released in 2010 in conjunction with the Taichung Jazz Festival held in Taiwan. WVC TRiO+1 will be playing on Saturday evening and Cher Siang‘s workshop will be held on Saturday afternoon.

UCSI University School of Music’s very own faculty and student band will be performing on Sunday evening. This band, featuring up to 21 performers accentuating compositions and arrangements by UCSI's very own faculty members, promises to provide a rousing close to the festival on Sunday.

The 2-day concert will be held on the Hill Top Stage within the South Wing. There will also be a Community Stage which will host performances by invited and auditioned local students and amateur bands. This is situated between Blocks B and C of the South Wing, Kuala Lumpur campus.

The Hill Top performances on Saturday and Sunday evenings begin at 7.00pm and admission is free of charge. The workshops will run concurrently within the Recital Hall and Auditorium of Block C from 2.00 to 6.00pm on both days, together with the Community Stage performances.

*Admission for Gonzalo Rubalcaba’s workshop is RM50, where else all other workshops cost RM30 per workshop.

Mini Water Dispenser by Spritzer

I've had alot of new toys coming in recently and one of it that stood out was the mini water dispenser by Spritzer!

It's newly patented design along with the classic green 'Spritzer' colour literally lights up the area wherever I place it (Car, room, kitchen, office, ~~toilet~~)

It's so convenient for me when I'm at my workstation as I dont have to leave my sit to get water.

Unlike the old fashioned water dispensers that weighs a ton, this mini water dispenser by Spritzer makes it easy to carry around/clean. It's lightweight yet sturdy at the same time.

Apart from the dispenser itself, the Spritzer water comes in 2 sizes - 9.5L & 6L and is available in Mineral, Distilled or Reverse Osmosis. The bottles are friendly in size, friendly to use, and most importantly friendly on the environment as it uses 50% less PET material compared to the old fashioned 18.9L container.

Due to the water bottle's friendly size, it makes changing the water supply on the water dispenser so easy, especially for the ladies.

I'm also able to quench my thirst while getting stuck in the Malaysian traffic jam.

The biggest concert of the year just happened on Saturday, 17th of September. A host of international and local artistes rocked Stadium Merdeka at Suara Kami 2011.

Contributing to the concert's international line-up was Grammy Award winner Nelly; K-Pop sensation Rania; award winning playback singers from India - Naresh Iyer & Chinmayi; Canto pop singer from Hong Kong, Hins Cheung.

This post features Rania (Semi, Riko, Jooyi, Di, Joy, T-ae and Xia), one of Korea's lastest sensational 7-member group. This group has garnered much attention as their debut album was co-produced by the famous Teddy Riley, the producer responsible for the success of several platinum-artists.

The girls sang Destiny Childs' 'Stand Up For Love' as their 2nd song.

Finally, they ended their performance with 'Masquerade'.

If any air bubbles should be stuck within your skin during the application, gently peel back the affected section and apply the skin again.

End product:

It took me just under 10 minutes to cut the skin to my desired size and apply the skin, Hydraskins are also water & scratch resistant, reusable and it also removes cleanly without any sticky residue.

Preview screening with Advertlets: Lulla Man

About 2 weeks ago, Advertlets had organized a preview screening for the Thai comedy "Lulla Man" at e@Curve, many thanks to Nusantara Edaran Filem.

Synopsis:

"Lulla Man is a Thai comedy (which has the most impeccable release date) about 3 married men who go through tremendous lengths to hide their night activities with other women so that their wives don’t find out. However, the wives discover this and team up to seek revenge. This Thai blockbuster is absolutely hilarious from start to finish. If you’re not familiar with Thai comedies, think 80’s and early 90’s Stephen Chow."

Trailer:

The movie was entertaining, storyline was interesting, only downside of the movie is the spoken language - Thai. Guaranteed 2 hours of laughter even if you read only the subtitles while looking at the casts' expressions.

Verdict - 8.5/10. Hilarious movie, language is the only barrier stopping us from enjoy it fully.

Located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI), Vin's Restaurant & Bar is the place in the neighborhood to settle for a nice meal away from the hustle & bustle. A row of trees opposite the venue covering the traffic makes the place feel even more quiet & peaceful as well.

We started the evening with a variety of starters/appetizers:

Crumbed Scallops - RM18.90
Pan-fried breaded scallops.
This dish must be eaten as it reaches the table while it's still hot, the scallops were chewy, the batter wasn't too thin nor too thick. Served with a dip.

Sautéed Mushrooms - RM16.90
Sautéed button and king oyster mushrooms flavored with herbs on crusty bread topped with parmesan.

Smoked Salmon Bruschetta - RM21
Served with caper-flavored pesto.
I'm not a fan of smoked salmons, so there wasn't really much for me to fancy. Taste-wise was okay.

Nachos (?) - RM??
Has slices of chicken meat beneath, topped with a generous amount of cream cheese. Very appetizing.

Chicken Tikka Masala - RM18
Chunky chicken cuts seared and served in a masala sauce and served with focaccia (an Italian flat bread)
The masala sauce was rich in flavor & Vin's did not stinge on the chicken cuts.

Spicy Lamb Masala - RM18.90
An authentic Indian favorite, slow-cooked in an earthen pot and served with crusty bread.
The taste fits the name of this dish nicely. Spicy, thick, rich in flavor and the lamb wasn't gamey smelling.

Moving on to the main courses:

Beef Bacon Pizza (10" thin crust) - RM28
Flooded with generous portions of beef bacon, smoked turkey, topped with mozzarella cheese and baked to perfection.
The crust was thin but even & did not slop downwards when I lifted it up, generous toppings & tasted good.

Pasta Carbonara - RM25.90
Beef bacon and mushroom sautéed in olive oil, then tossed in a white wine cream sauce made rich with egg yolk.
Everything in this dish was perfect, except for the texture of the sauce; It was made a little too rich & thick.

Spicy Lamb Bolognaise - RM26.90
Fusion lamb dish, made in a spicy bolognaise sauce and flavored with fresh herbs and wild mushrooms.

Baked Black Cod Teriyaki - RM52
Another fusion dish, Served with side salad and aglio oglio pasta. Melts in the mouth.

As the description says, the black cod melts in the mouth with a very tasty fusion flavor from the teriyaki sauce.

Fish and chips - RM27
Traditionally English, Hake fish dipped in a light batter, fried and served with French fries and coleslaw. Simply mouth watering.

VIN’s Rack of Lamb - RM54
Imported frenched juicy tender lamb served with fresh sautéed potatoes and a garden salad. Simply melts in your mouth.
Please check for availability.
The lamb was juicy, succulent, flavorful, did not smell gamey, and came off the bone easily. Opt for this instead if you're not a beef person.

And lastly, the desserts:

Treacle Cake Pudding - RM15

The Elusive Chocolate Truffle Cake - RM16.90
We had second rounds of this dessert and finished the dish in a matter of seconds. The mouthwatering chocolate truffle cake melts in your mouth together with the single scoop of ice cream served alongside it.

IL Volo Live in Malaysia

IL Volo, consisting of 3 teenage members, Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble, & Ignazio Boschetto who sing mainly Italian pop-opera, had their showcase at Bentley Auditorium yesterday evening. The event which drew attention of all ages had the showcase venue filled to the brim!

I had a chance to go backstage with IL Volo and an up close photo session with them, unfortunately I did not have the time to get a photo with the boys.

IL Volo performed 4 songs and a special acapella specially for the fans. The showcase lasted for about an hour but it definitely was the best one hour fans could ask for!

Last Saturday, the Revive Rev-Cup party was held at Euphoria by MOS, Sunway!

Selangor was the most revved up state, so we got to party in the name of our state's pride!

The event lived up to its spirit, being very revved up. The party was open to the public who had clicked 'Attending' on the Facebook Event page, hence the venue was literally flooded with people feeling excited!

There were photo opportunity sessions, games, free flow drinks, live performances, award presentations, prizes to be won as everyone celebrated Selangor’s victory and the achievements of the Rev-Cup weekly photo/video winners and many more.

I arrived just in time to participate in the wan tan eating challenge where contestants had to eat the most wan tan's in 3 minutes. I managed to get first place by gobbling 23 wan tan's in 3 minutes! Won myself a Mandara Spa voucher worth RM195!

No meal - or in this case, meals - is complete without dessert. Not forgetting, the chilly sensations resulting from the ice cream counter and ice kacang with condiments. All making it absolutely divine!

The food was good! And throughout the hours of dining there, I only managed to taste 50% of the food served at the buffet, that shows how wide the selection of food there is during the buffet! The food is replenished & a new menu is served up during lunch/dinner, so diners wont have to worry about eating the same old dish for 12-hours.

Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 review

Greetings, a couple of weeks ago I managed to grab the new Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 for a review. This pocket rocket is claimed to be the mobile phone that offers the best performance in the market now.

This review will basically cover everything you need to know in a nutshell. The Samsung Galaxy S II will be launched in Malaysia this week at Mid Valley Megamall's ground floor centre court concourse. Not only that, Maxis is offering very attractive plans and the registration of interest has already been going on for the past two weeks.

“In Korea, the Samsung GALAXY S II sold 100,000 units sold in the first 3 days, 200,000 sold in 8 days, 500,000 sold in 18 days and over a million units sold in under a month. We expect the demand for the Samsung GALAXY S II in Malaysia to also reach a fever pitch,” Mr. Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director, Samsung Malaysia Electronics Sdn. Bhd.

“People want faster, smoother, brighter and stronger. The Samsung GALAXY S II delivers on all fronts. The Samsung GALAXY S II has received over 3 million advanced and pre-orders globally,”

The phone has been selling like hotcakes ever since it's debut because it is the successor of the best selling Samsung Galaxy S, which sold a record of over 14 million units globally last year.

The phone features 1.2 GHz dual-core application processor, the fastest of its kind using the Android™ 2.3 Gingerbread platform that allows its users to enjoy the unrivalled merits of multi-tasking capabilities. Not forgetting the 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display. The phone tends to get heated up really quickly as users launch & use apps for a long time due to the fact that it's dual-core & processes much more.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is only 8.9mm (0.33 inches) thin, and weighs only 116grams!

The loudspeaker on the Samsung Galaxy S II is fantastic, the audio churns out clear, crips & loud. Even at the maximum volume (volume 15), there wasn't any break ups/cracking sounds of the treble & bass. Though, one thing I did not fancy about the loudspeaker was the placement of it, it was located at the back of the phone and the audio coming out from it was muffled when placed flat on a table. But what impressed me was the capability of the Samsung Galaxy S II being able to play music in FLAC format, definitely a plus point for audiophiles to enjoy their dose of music on this gadget.

The 8.0 megapixel camera snapped great & sharp photos just like a compact camera. The video camera was also able to record Full HD videos in 1080p. But one slight problem about the video recording was that it had rolling shutter issues, in which images are not recorded at the same time as the audio.

During Super GT 2011 over the weekend. The camera produced sharp & perfectly exposed pictures, thumbs up for a mobile phone camera!

Noise is visible but tolerable in this picture.

The LED flash produces a bright but harsh light on the subject.

In macro mode, the camera produces a nice DoF (or also known as bokeh), but the minimum focus distance for the Samsung Galaxy S II's camera is about 10cm. (self measured)

Apart from the loudspeaker & the camera's performance, the 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus screen was a pleasant experience on the eyes. The screen produced vivid, sharp & bright images, definitely a breeze when using it daily, especially when playing games like this:

Upon normal usage, the 1650mAh battery managed to last a full 3 days before finally showing the low battery warning level notification. Upon excessive usage with a generous amount of time spent on playing games, listening to music & surfing the web, the battery only lasted me 1 & a half days. Pretty good for a phone with such a huge display. However the amount of battery used by a person depends on the level of brightness, 3G connection, games and video playback.

From the Samsung website, they describe the L!ve Panel as “.. live content ecosystem can be customized to your taste and provides easy access to your contents”. It is definitely an ecosystem as I was able to customize notes, apps, weather widget, music and video. The possibilities are endless. According to Samsung “Content is King”. I have to very much agree with that statement as I was able to have everything on my fingertips. I do not have to browse through the application page and look for the app I want. Everything is on the L!ve Panel."

In conclusion, almost everything is perfect & packed nicely into this pocket rocket. If you don't mind the minor flaws I stated and maybe a few other issues I left out, then by all means this phone is definitely for you! No matter if you want to look stylish, professional, trendy, cool... The Samsung Galaxy S II fits all occasions!

Verdict? 9.5/10.
Worth the buy? YES!!!

U-KISS 'Bran New Kiss' Album Showcase teaser

U-KISS is here in Malaysia once again, this is their second time here (First time was last year, in June as well). The showcase was free for all and many fans flooded the main entrance of Pavilion to watch them dance & sing to energetic tracks like "Bingeul Bingeul", "Man Man Ha Ni", "Shut Up" and perform their latest track "0330" which represents a more matured & soft side of the boys.

This showcase was made free by the presenter RadioActive, the organizer Redstar Presents & event management Marctensia.

The Femme Fatale GT Pre-Party happened earlier at Zouk Club KL. All thanks to I LOVE DISCOUNTS, I got to attend the pre-party which was strictly by invitation only.

The highlights of the night were exotic super cars parade, the showcase of a Super GT car, a short performance by the local & Japan GT race queen and not forgetting the main highlight of the night - The autograph & photo session with the race queens.

Outside Zouk Club KL, among the exotic super cars were vehicles like Toyota Supra, Aston Martin DBS, Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, Porche's, Nissan Fairlady's, Chevrolet Camaro and many others.

The Super GT car was also showcased.

DJ Eva T was on the decks spinning out the most upbeat tracks in the club.

The MC gave out a total of 30 grandstand tickets to Super GT while waiting for the arrival of the GT race queens.

As most of you would have known, MTV World Stage is returning to Malaysia for the third consecutive year! The first two acts announced to perform are the award-winning headliner rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars and popular local show stopper Pop Shuvit.

Hey people, how are you doing today? Today, I’ve got something to share with you. It’s Revive and it’s about time to Rev-Up again! But this time, you'll be doing so for the pride of your region!

For those who still don't know what I'm revving about, visit here!

Let me tell you how the contest works. Follow the simple steps below.

1. Find out the week's theme.
2. Take a photo/video of yourself with the theme provided.
3. Upload your photo/video to the app.
4. Challenge & rally all your friends to join.
5. Wait for the Rev-erees to judge your entry & award you with points.
6. Check how you & your state are doing, via the scoreboard.
7. Repeat step 1-6 as many times as you want.

Get as much point for yourself, individually and also contribute it for your own state because the winning state will have a massive party thrown in their honour and all individual cash prizes will be announced at awarded at this party. You gotta be aggressive and show them what you got and make your state proud!

Judging and point system wise, how does it work? The Rev-erees will be judging your photos. How creative you are, it’s them to decide. So, do amaze them! Get all your creative juices out and start submitting in your entries if you think you have whatever it takes to win. You’ll be getting a Blue Card if your entries are GOOD (creative, fits the theme, outstanding)! Yellow Card for entries which is just normal and acceptable (fits the theme, but is not creative). Red Card for those who doesn’t meet the theme requirements. (doesn’t fit the theme, not creative, etc).

Okay, whenever you submit entries, you will earn points for yourself to win individual prizes and also contribute points to your state to get ahead of the competition. Whichever state wins the most points at the end of the week, all participants from that state will get one bonus point at the starting of the following week.

How about the prizes?

The prizes are all superbly tempting. Cash prizes worth RM1000 weekly and RM5000 for the period of 6 weeks for photo entries! RM5000 for Video entry submission. Also 8 winners for special category award worth RM3000.

Thanks to DiGi, In2 Marketing & Universal Music Malaysia, I managed to get hold of 2 passes for 2AM's autograph session. The event was held at Wisma Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara.

Fans were given 2AM's "Saint O' Clock" special edition album & posters as gifts for the boys (Seulong, Changmin, Jokwon & Jinwoon) to autograph on.

Managed to have my album signed by all four of them, not forgetting having the ever friendly 2AM to take a few seconds to interact with me while signing my album as well.

Once again, I'm back with another smart phone review. This time - The Samsung Galaxy Ace. In a nutshell, the name sounds nice, the specifications look nice, the looks are nice, and not forgetting the price, ever affordable. It's like having (almost) all the good stuff loaded into this gadget.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 is a cheaper alternative to it's bigger brother, the Samsung Galaxy S. Priced only at RM999, there's really nothing that can go wrong over here.

- 3.5" 16M-color TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen of HVGA (320 x 480 pixels) resolution

What it lacks:
- No shutter key for the camera

Running on Android 2.2 (Froyo) & an 800MHz processor, the phone runs as smooth as butter. For the price you're paying, this phone is just about on par with the HTC Wildfire which runs on a noticeably slower processor & an older version of Android OS (2.1 Eclair).

The 5 megapixel camera though, takes ratherly good photos and has a few types of scene modes for users to play around with, but the lack of HD video recording is a slight disappointment for the shutterbugs. Here are a few photos taken with the Galaxy Ace:

The lack of a dedicated shutter key for the camera makes it inconvenient for users.

External microSD slot which makes it easy for hot swapping.

Standard 3.5mm audio jack, great add on for audiophiles to enjoy their favorite music with their favourite earphones/headphones.

The back cover of the Galaxy Ace has a nice rubbery feel to it which doesnt slip out of your hands easily.

Verdict? 8.5/10.
Worth the buy? YES!

Hong Kong hip hop & rapcore group - 24Herbs 廿四味 took the stage as the 3rd lineup for the concert.

They showcased title tracks like "Do Or Die", "Do You Know Me", "Wonderland", "Bring It On" & the crowd's favorite "Hu Ge". "Wonderland" was performed together with ManHanD's female vocalist - Von.

My personal favourite selection of the concert goes to none other 24Herbs 廿四味 themselves! They hyped the early crowd up and interacted with all their fans while moving around on the stage, finally ending their performance with a big "Terima Kasih", which translates to "Thank You" in English.

They performed tracks like "Moment", "Mosh", "Mirror", "Alice" & "Politics". The track titled "Alice" was also sang by an invited female vocalist together with Nick (lead vocalist).

DiGi brings 2AM to Malaysia by popular demand

Shah Alam, 19 April 2011 – DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“DiGi”) is collaborating with Universal Music Malaysia to have Korean boy band 2AM perform in Malaysia, due to overwhelming demand from fans who made their voices heard on DiGi Youths Facebook. The exclusive DiGi Live K-pop 2AM Showcase will be held on 21 May and it marks the first time the band will be performing in Malaysia.

Unique opportunities to have some face-time with the four-member band are being organised as well based on feedback received from fans online. These include a closed door autograph session, an artiste interaction experience and a meet & greet session.

Twin Towers @Live 2011: Mizz Nina & Colby O' Donis

On Saturday night (9th April 2011), Twin Towers @Live continued to rock Kuala Lumpur with international artistes like Colby O' Donis and The Earth, Wind & Fire Experience featuring Al McKay.

KL Stompers were invited to warm up for the concert.

Mizz Nina took the stage first before finally introducing Colby O' Donis out to start performing their famous hit 'What You Waiting For'. Shortly after that, Mizz Nina left the stage for Colby to work his magic.

An experience at Outward Bounds School with Project O&O

On the 17th - 20th of March, I was in Teluk Batik (Lumut, Perak) for an experience at Outward Bounds School together with the Top 10 finalists of Project O&O Season 2. Many activities were prepared for us in the premises (as well as on another island not far from the base)

Only 2 male & 3 female finalists had made it for the camp, therefore our male dorm had only 3 people. (The dorms have 20 beds & an attached bathroom) It was located 127 steps from the ground, almost half of our country's Batu Caves flight of steps. Just getting up to the dorm was a tiring exercise.

Day 0 - We were briefed on the do's & dont's throughout the camp and took a small tour around the base, all of us had to surrender all gadgets (phones, wallets, music players etc). Followed by a quick dinner before settling down at our dorms.

Our watch (somewhat like a squad/patrol) had 3 instructors - Mr. Wilson, En. Aliff & Mr. Ruari. A big thank you to all 3 of the friendly instructors who guided us during our 3 day course.

Day 1 - We all got ready and gathered by the flag poles at 6.30AM to sing the national anthem. Another watch consisting of contestants from the Red Bull Rookies Search was also present at the same course period as us. Some of them were from Singapoore & Brunei, hence the national anthems of their own respective country was also sang after the Malaysian national anthem.

Shortly after that, we had our morning exercise paired with a 1km jog out of the base.

Our first main activity on Friday was a group photoshoot session, then learning how to tie knots and building a tent from ropes & fly/ground sheets, after that we had team building games with everyone in the watch.

After lunch some rest, we prepared our life jackets and got the kayaks & pedals ready because we were going to learn how to kayak before our main kayak expedition to an island about 5km away. We learned the safety precautions before kayaking and also how to use the pedal properly. ~~A small accident happened when we were having a short game session before our kayaking session started, but let's not go there.~~

During our kayaking session, we were also taught how to save another kayaker who had capsized, and each of us took turns to capsize and wait for other members to rescue us.

After the kayaking session, we had a quick dinner and another round of briefing before our main kayaking expedition the next day. Everyone headed back to the dorms to pack and get the much needed rest for Day 2's expedition.

Day 2 - As usual, we got up early to sing the national anthem, but this time we skipped morning exercise because we were running a little late. Had our breakfast and moved all our items by the beachfront to be loaded onto the speedboat.

We started our expedition slightly late at about 9AM because it was raining heavily for about an hour and the waves were too strong for us to kayak in. As we just started kayaking, the currents were against us, so it was a tough start off. ~~And as we were kayaking in the middle of the sea, a minor accident happened to me, and now I'm short of a pair of wayfarers.~~

We arrived the island after about an hour and 15 minutes of kayaking, pulled our kayaks up to the shore and settled all our baggages & tent equipments. After setting up both our tents (male & female), we started collecting fire starters and fire wood. It was almost impossible as it had just finished raining, so we resulted to using the bunsen burner provided.

After a quick lunch and meeting the monkeys who stole an egg, everyone changed into roping outfits and got ready for the rapelling activity.

Other assistants came from the base in the evening to help us set up the barbecue & even brought us a feast since it was our last night there.

It was a free & easy night after dinner and a review session, everyone sat by the fire to keep warm.

Both the male contestants and I slept outside in the open because we forgot to bring an extra ground sheet, and it was really cold at the time, so we sat right beside the fire and called it a night.

Day 3 - It was our final day at the camp, all of us were pumped up with adrenaline ready to kayak back to base, we kept all our tents and baggages, loaded it onto the speedboat and started our journey back.

Hoping to kayak back within 45 minutes, we still ended up an hour and 15 minutes because we took longer breaks on the sea. When we arrived the base, we washed the kayaks & pedals, kept all life jackets and brought our luggage up to our dorms.

After a shower (finally) and some rest, we had our last lunch in Outward Bounds School and prepared for the closing ceremony afterwards.

So that wraps up a summary of my experience at Outward Bounds Malaysia School together with Project O&O. I'd love to go back there for another 3 day course anytime now!

Twin Towers @Live 2011 is a FREE 2 day open air concert held on the 8th & 9th of April 2011, featuring local & international artistes like Wonder Girls, Hoobastank, Colby O' Donis and The Earth, Wind & Fire Experience from the international stage, while Yuna, The Azenders, Bunkface, Joe Flizzow & Mizz Nina from the local stage.

I just got back from the concert awhile ago, and one of the performers tonight was Yuna. She sang many different songs including a cover of 'Rehab' by Amy Winehouse.

Will Quah & Aishah Sinclair were the hosts of the night, together with Prem from Fly.FM & DJ Double D as the duo behind the DJ decks.
