For the first time in Malaysia, we’re giving you the power to choose.
Kuala Lumpur, 13 May 2011 – After months of silence, FREEDOM is finally back and here to take the nation by storm. Year on year we bring the hottest artistes from around the world to sold-out audiences all over Malaysia. But this year, FREEDOM is doing something new. We heard the cries of boredom, that everything is same old, same old, so we’re shaking things up! For the first time ever, we’re letting you choose what goes where in our nationwide events.
Staying true to FREEDOM, we’ll be bringing in a host of international DJs to spice things up - but it’s up to you to make the rest happen. Embracing the concept of co-creation, FREEDOM: Voice Your Choice (VYC) is calling all FREEDOM fans to vote for which local DJ gets to spin, what they wear, the experiences and even down to whether they want to have free-flow.
How to vote? Just follow the breadcrumbs to find out how. From electronic direct mailer, SMS messages to flyers: all signs point to the FREEDOM site to cast a vote. Aside the website, the FREEDOM fan page on Facebook is also abuzz with information and is a great place to strike up conversations with both fans and DJs alike; not to mention to find out more about anything FREEDOM.

FREEDOM: Snap&Snag- Fold the FREEDOM box (download it from our website or find our flyers)

- Put a caption on it, enter the code that is on the box and submit
- After that, it’s all up to the member’s vote – highest voted photo will win an iPad2!
For the prize seekers, there are loads of contests on the site with great prizes to be one including a Panasonic Lumix LX5 camera and iPod Nano with Griffin Slapwatches.
Beyond that, FREEDOM is always looking for prop local talents; so for those with creative, curious and boldly expressive blood in their veins, submit your original artwork or photo and if yours is chosen, we’ll showcase your art on a LED curtain in all our events.
The VYC campaign brings fresh and creative ideas to plug into the FREEDOM community to further build up FREEDOM’s association with the cool, contemporary and trendy cues of the target consumers. This new direction will set FREEDOM apart from the scores of ‘me too’ events and expands its reach beyond music with more to come in the months to follow.
Billed as one of the most anticipated and involving entertainment event circuits ever and featuring the world’s most renowned international DJs, FREEDOM VYC promises to be a not-to-be-missed experience which seamlessly blends the music and energy of club culture and top DJs from around the world to create an explosive one-of-a-kind entertainment experience. With all that and more, it’s doesn’t take rocket science to figure that Freedom is back and banging!
