JYJ arrival at KLIA

This post will cover JYJ's arrival at KLIA on the 17th of October when they were here for their new album showcase. The showcase was organized by RedStar Presents, organizers of Super Junior's Super Show 2 earlier this year.

JYJ arrived at KLIA from Singapore slightly after 11am. They were supposed to arrive at 10.50am, but there was a flight delay.

Many fans were waiting there since 9am! Crowding the whole waiting area outside the arrival hall.


Then JYJ came out later on, everyone started pushing their way into the arrival hall. But luckily the security guards managed to keep them away from the fans.

SaSa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010

My apologies for the lack of updates this week, been a really hectic week for me. But nevertheless, I'm gonna be updating about an event that happened a few weeks back. I was invited by Victoria to attend the SaSa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010 at Sunway Pyramid. They gave us a goodie bag which had a floral perfume inside as the doorgift, I dont think it was meant for men to use anyway. But the campaign ambassador, Nora Danish was also present at the event.

Energizer Energy Beam + Energizer Nightstrike @ Zouk

Had the chance to attend Energizer's new brand image launch called Energizer Energy Beam at Zouk KL last Friday. Being around the market as the leader in household batteries & portable lighting, Energizer is launching the Energizer Beam visual device in-line with the change in global brand packaging together with Power Seal Technology.

The Energizer Energy Beam was launched amidst much fanfare from trade, consumer and media representation at Zouk KL last week.

“The Energy Beam is our new visual expression of the Energizer Brand and symbolises where ‘Energy, Technology and Freedom’ meets. The Energy Beam represents the connectivity, progression and innovation that go into every Energizer product, making them the choice of discerning consumers who demand no less.” said Mike Foong, the Managing Director of Energizer Malaysia during the launch last week.

The Energizer Night Strike features 7 minute 'speedball' rounds incorporating 'Capture the flag' scenario, played completely in the dark with only Ultra Violet (UV) lighting and glow in the dark paintballs to complement Energizer's new Energy Beam image. Players and spectators will be treated to a visual feast of neon colors as glow-in-the-dark pellets, uniforms and props whiz around the battlefield at the night event.

Paintballers give guests at the Energizer Energy Beam launch a taste of the excitement behind the upcoming Energizer Night Strike night paintball event in January.

The Energizer Night Strike will join the calendar of upcoming Energizer events such as the Energizer Night Race which happened in March this year, which will have a second installment in April 2011. Unlike the Night Race which is an international Energizer event, the Energizer Night Strike is Energizer Malaysia's own initiative.

Guests were entitled to 3 bottles of 7aste sparkling wine per table, which then led to many people getting drunk due to the sweet 7aste of it. Apart from that, it was free flow beer & finger foods all night long.

Since we were partying 'Monte Carlo' style, what's the point of me attending it without having a photo (or maybe a few photos) taken together with the pretty girls there right?

The Switch Preview Screening with Advertlets

So this was a last minute invite, but nevertheless I enjoyed the movie! We all watched 'The Switch' at e@Curve on Wednesday night. This movie is starring Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman & other casts.


Synopsis:

"An unmarried 40-year-old woman turns to a turkey baster in order to become pregnant. Seven years later, she reunites with her best friend, who has been living with a secret: he replaced her preferred sperm sample with his own."

Trailer:

I think the storyline could have been better. Like how Jason Bateman can still remember the incident here he hijacked Jennifer Aniston's pregnancy clearly after 7 years although he was pissed drunk that night. The kid (Jennifer Aniston's son) in the movie was really cute as well, buying photo frames without putting photos in it.

Verdict - 6/10. Worth your 1 hour and 40 minutes watching it.

The Hennessy Artistry Big Bash 2010!

The biggest event of the year - Hennessy Artistry Big Bash is back!

This time around, Hennessy Artistry Big Bash will take place on the 23rd of October 2010 over at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) at Mines Resort City. The event is set to take the crowd by storm with the artiste line up and end the year with a bang!

Sony NEX-3 review

Sometime ago, I managed to get my hands on a Sony NEX-3 with 18-55mm kit lens & a 16mm pancake lens. This all happened thanks to Advertlets & Sony Malaysia for sponsoring the unit. In this post, I will be writing a short review with photos I took using the Sony NEX-3. Because I attended SuperAutoMix at Bukit Jalil from morning to night, this gave me a good chance to test the camera's capabilities in broad daylight & in low light conditions.

Before I begin, I just wanna share my thoughts on this pocket monster. It's small enough to fit into a pocket, provided you're mounting the 16mm pancake lens on the NEX body. It shoots like a machine gun at 7 frames per second, which beats many entry level DSLR's hands down. The Sony NEX-3 has a maximum of 12800 ISO level, which again beats many entry level DSLR's. Noise only starts to show badly after ISO 6400, bumping up the ISO to 3200 would still be fine.

Because it's a Sony, the colors that come out in the photo appears to be really vivid & vibrant! That's what I love about Sony's sensors!

When it comes to low lighting, the NEX shines. Even when the area was dark at 8.21pm, I managed to take this photo below at 18mm,F3.5, ISO800.

And the one below was taken at 18mm, F3.5, ISO1600.

Took a few HD videos with this, satisfied with the result. But as I previously quoted before, the autofocus during video recording is annoying, although it can be set to manual mode before beginning the recording.

Entering & configuring the menu is confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it'll be fine.

Apart from being a pocket monster & all the macho, the NEX-3 is also a ladies' favorite! Guys who own this will be known as the chick magnet, tested & proven!

Overall, the Sony NEX-3 is a camera worth the buy and it comes in many different colors! Although there are places where it can be improved drastically, the camera itself has more plus points and it's affordable in the market as well.
